DEBT FREE!!!
I started university when I was 17 years old. Since then (and I just turned 28) I have been in debt. Luckily I was never one of those people who used credit cards or bought new cars or vacations that I couldn't afford so all of my debt was student loans. Today, almost exactly 7 years after I graduated with my BA, I received my tax return and was able to pay off my personal debt for the first time in my adult life. Everything in my bank account is mine now. It's an incredible feeling. I realize the timing of this (April 1) may be suspect, however, this is no joke. I did it! I did it myself too! I am so proud! If I didn't work tonight I would have to go somewhere and celebrate. Oh well, celebrate with me in cyber space!

Congratulations, Amber! I keep thinking I am going to be debt-free in another month or so and then the sky collapses. Ah well, in 3 months then!!!
That's so great! Amber, you rock! You had a kick ass vacation last year to boot! Atta be! :)
That's awesome!! Congratulations!
Congrats!! That is so exciting!! It's nice to hear about other people reaching financial goals
Congrats!!! That is awesome & I am very proud of you. I also have a lot of debt--all student loans. I'm really glad I've never owned a car or gone into crazy credit card debt--I hope to do the same thing over the next few years.
that's awesome news! :) congratulations. go celebrate ltaer!
YAHHHHH congrats and welcome back!
I'm laughing that it's April 1st--I paid off my student loan debt (the last of my debt) April 1st of last year! People thought I was kidding.
Congrats! It's an amazing feeling!
Thanks everyone! And welcome to the readers that I didn't know I had: Tuyet, Namine, Suki and Amanda! I hope that you stick around because I plan on blogging again!
Being debt free is such a great feeling. With my new job I am hoping I can save a lot of money up and then I won't have to rely on loans so much in the future.
Simone- I hate credit cards! I only have one to build up a credit rating and I pay the balance off every month. They scare me so much!
