Review: Little Bee

I could hardly put down this book. Little Bee by Chris Cleave (also known as The Other Hand) is probably the best book I've read all year. It was funny, touching, endearing, heart-breaking and thought provoking all within the same chapter. It's the type of book that as I am reading it I can't wait to start re-reading it.

What is this book about? Well, here is how the inside cover of the dust jacket summarized it:

"We don't want to tell you too much about this book. It is a truly special story and we don't want to spoil it. Nevertheless, you need to know something, so we will just say this: This is the story of two women. Their lives collide one fateful day, and one of them has to make a terrible choice. Two years later, they meet again. The story starts there. Once you have read it you will want to tell everyone about it. When you do, please don't tell them what happens. The magic is in how it unfolds."

Go. Read. It. Now.
